Three monumental sculptures of Tunisian artist to be displayed at 2008 Saragossa International Exhibition

Tunis, June 5, 2008 (TunisiaOnline) --The Tunisian artist Sadika Keskes, will have three of her most ambitious sculptures exhibited in Saragossa, Spain, on the occasion of Tunisia's participation to the Saragossa International Exhibition which will take place between June 14 and September 2008.

The sculptures which are part of a same work entitled “The parting of the waters”, are composed of the artist's preferred material, namely, hand blown glass.

By confronting her hand blown glass motifs to the natural elements, and namely the sea, Sadika seems to address existential issues, at the core of our lives.

The work of art is seen in its various stages: birth, growth and decay, as a metaphor of our own bodies, always in motion, never inert or still.

Playing with the transparent element of glass, the artist gives us a fugacious glimpse of the enigma of life, sublimated by art.

Hundreds of thousand of spectators are expected to visit her original work in Saragossa .

Sadika, is one of Tunisia 's best known hand blown glass artists, as well as a painter and sculptor; her works have been displayed in many capitals in the world.
